How do I join?
Any of the following methods:

What is the commitment if I join?
Some members are very active in our executive, committees, fund raising, and community involvement. Some members enjoy focusing on research. They enjoy the meetings, presentations, and get excellent use of our resources.
We have many casual members, particularly those who live quite a distance away, have health issues, or other commitments. Several of our members live outside Ontario.  We now offer programming via zoom and that helps our members and the general public access events.

Do I have to be a “history expert”?
No. We all have an interest in history and want to learn more from others. Many of our members have specialized knowledge in certain areas or topics. Others have a casual interest in local history and enjoy the fellowship. Still others just want to learn more and help promote the importance of knowing where we came from.

Do I need to be a member to attend a scheduled event?
No. All of our programming is open to the general public.  We want to be relevant to the younger generation.  Make note of our open hours at the Archives.  There is often something going on.  Many members sign up to attend a shift at the Archives monthly or bimonthly.
