🤝 Come connect, share, and be part of the living heritage network
The Annual Heritage Fair is shaping up to be a must-attend gathering for everyone who cares about history, memory, and community storytelling.
This year, heritage organizations, historians, genealogists, writers, archivists, museums, libraries, and passionate community members from across the district will come together in Delaware for a day of discovery, connection, and inspiration. It’s our annual opportunity to meet the people behind the projects — the books, archives, oral histories, exhibitions, and creative initiatives that are keeping our shared past alive.
Why Attend?
- Discover new and ongoing heritage projects from across the region
- Network with heritage groups, societies, and fellow story-keepers
- Learn what resources are available — and how to use them
- Spark ideas for preserving your own family and community history
- Be inspired to take the next step in safeguarding the stories that matter
A Time for Story-Keeping and Storytelling
A powerful theme is emerging across the heritage world: story-keeping and story-telling.
The Boomer generation holds a vast store of lived experience, family knowledge, photographs, letters, diaries, farm records, church histories, and community memories. This is the moment to gather, organize, and share those stories — not only to honour the seven generations who came before us, but to intentionally pass our stories, values, and culture forward to the next seven generations.
More details, including registration information, will be shared closer to the event. Admission is free, and everyone with an interest in heritage is welcome. Many thanks to the host, Middlesex Centre Archives, for organizing and hosting.
